Golden Wheel Amusements has provided Alaskans affordable, safe, family fun since 1967. Claire Morton came to Alaska with her family to pick up an Octopus ride and started at the Fur Rendezvous in Anchorage. Fifty years and three generations later, we are still proud to be a family business of integrity.
Golden Wheel Amusements is available for community events, fairs and festivals within Alaska throughout the year. We have a special “fun and safety” program for children of elementary school age children and continue to find ways to maintain a high-quality standard of entertainment, working within our communities for clean, safe, family fun. We are proud of our community and have found opportunities to assist with local little leagues and organizations such as 4-H, Disabled Alaskans, Children’s Miracle Network, Anchorage Parks and Recreation, as well as our commitment to Alaska’s fairs and festivals.
We look forward to bringing high-quality family fun to the state of Alaska for years to come and hope to see you at the carnival.
Our Safety Record
Safety is the top priority of our president, Joe Leavitt. He has worked his way up the ladder of success and now has 30 years’ experience in the carnival business. Each ride passes a safety and maintenance inspection every day. We hold a special insurance rating and classification based on our outstanding record.
The secret to Golden Wheel Amusement’s success is our dedicated, team-oriented employees. We communicate with employees, guests and associates honestly and treat others as we would like to be treated. In 1996, we began our commitment to maintain a drug-free workplace and test over 300 employees throughout the year.
